sponsor the Local Hero award in the Pride of Gloucestershire Awards. The awards recognise the many unsung heroes who work tirelessly for local charities and voluntary organisations. The Local Hero is a special person, who cares about others and puts themselves out to help those in need; who gives time and energy to help their community. Audrey Stephenson won the 2008 award for the active role she plays in the Churchdown community. She cooks 180 meals a month at a luncheon club, runs a weekly over 60s club and takes elderly people to hospital appointments or shopping
