After spending a short period of time in the engineering industry, and having failed to be spotted as a rising star in the world of professional football, James chose to pursue his other childhood dream - a lucrative career in insurance. With 12 years experience spanning various roles, he still remains naively optimistic.
With early experience in personal lines claims handling, James progressed to investigate fraudulent claims during his time spent in both Company and Adjusting roles. Experience then gained working for the insurance department of a local authority provided an insight into the wider aspect of commercial insurance and in turn he trained to become a qualified casualty claims technician for a large composite insurer.
James made the transition to the underwriting side of the business where his exposure to claims has proved to be an advantage in terms of risk analysis, particularly from a liability perspective. Having worked in new business development roles, James is currently placed as a Lead Underwriter with Ecclesiastical.
