Tony left college in 1986 and like most did not intend to go into Insurance but started applying for any job that looked like it involved sitting in an office.
He joined NU in 1986 and spent a year in motor before moving into commercial. A colleague then joined Ecclesiastical and contacted him when a vacancy came up as Assistant Underwriter. He joined Ecclesiastical in 1988 and was promoted to Regional Underwriter in 1989 aged 22. He was thrown in at the deep end a bit but survived in this job for 6 years being moving to a field role firstly as an Inspector then promoted to Development Underwriter in 2000.
Currently Tony looks after over 60 brokers mainly in Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Bedfordshire with a few others dotted here and there. He is involved in developing these accounts, promoting Ecclesiastical products and fronting up our relationships.
Tony always wanted to live on the coast and moved up to Norfolk earlier this year, living in a village on the wash. There are fantastic beaches and they're the only West facing ones in East Anglia so in the summer he spends his evenings sitting on the beach with a glass of wine, watching the sun set.
He has also been learning to play golf (for the last 15 years) but his game never seems to improve.
Tony is also an avid skier and is currently planning a trip to Colorado for Jan/Feb 2008.
