all claims should be entered regardless of whether they’re applicable to the cover requested

Post quote questions
While a guaranteed quote may be obtained, cover is subject to the satisfactory completion of a number of post quote questions. These system-specific questions are listed below.
General questions
If the property is let to tenants:
the property to be insured will be subject to an assured short hold tenancy agreement that is in force for no less than six months
the letting of the property is administered through a letting agent
the agreement is not with a local authority, housing association or council
the tenant is an individual, couple or family in full time employment and they are UK residents
the property will be occupied from the start date
during the policy period, the property will not be unoccupied for more than 30 days at any one time
the total number of residential properties you own, or part-own, in a business or personal capacity, including your own home, does not exceed three.
If the property is let to tenants:
the property to be insured will be subject to an assured short hold tenancy agreement that is in force for no less than six months

the agreement is not with a local authority, housing association or council
the tenant is an individual, couple or family in full time employment and they are UK residents

Cover will be subject to the following statements:
have you or any member of your family normally residing with you
(a) had any insurance declined or cancelled or special conditions imposed, and
(b) been convicted, cautioned or charged (but not yet tried) for any offence other than a driving offence?have you or any member of your family or other person living with you either in a personal or business capacity
(a) been declared bankrupt or the subject of liquidation or insolvency and
(b) had any county court judgments made against you/them?is the neighbourhood in which the property is situated, susceptible to subsidence, heave, landslip or settlement?
does the buildings sum insured represent the full cost of building as new including - architects’, surveyors’, consulting engineers’ and legal fees; removal of debris; and the costs of meeting local authority requirements?
does the contents sum insured represent the full replacement cost of property insured by this section (less wear and tear on household linen and clothing)?
For let properties, cover will be subject to the following statements:
is the property to be insured subject to an assured short hold tenancy agreement that is in force for no less than six months?
is the letting of the property administered through a letting agent?
is the agreement with a local authority, housing association or council?
is the tenant an individual, couple or family in full time employment and are they UK residents?
will the property be occupied from the start date?

For paying guests, cover will be subject to the following statements:
is the property subject to council tax, not business rates?
is the property subject to fire regulations?
have all reasonable steps been taken to ensure compliance to relevant food, water and health and safety regulations?
has the property been converted into bed-sits?
are the paying guests local authority or government referrals?
will there be more than four paying guests at any one time?
Cover will be subject to the following statements:
has the property ever been affected by movement of any kind, for example, by subsidence, heave or landslip?
does the buildings and/or contents sum insured represent the full rebuilding and/or replacement cost?
have you or any member of your family or other person living with you either in a personal or business capacity
(a) been declared bankrupt or the subject of liquidation or insolvency,
(b) had any county court judgments made against you/them?have you or any member of your family normally residing with you

For the risk to be acceptable all the following statements need to be confirmed.
the property is not in a neighbourhood that is susceptible to subsidence, heave, landslip or settlement
the insured property is occupied solely by you and your family or your tenants from the start date. This does not include lodgers or other paying guests
all losses, damage or liability during the last five years in connection with your home, its contents or any personal possessions, including losses away from the home at the address to be insured or any other addresses owned or occupied by you have been declared, whether insured or not.
If the property is let to tenants:

If contents cover has been requested:
the total amount of high risk items covered in and away from the home is less than one third of the contents sum insured (including items under the portable possessions section)
all pedal cycles have been specified
you have £200 unspecified sports equipment cover and this is sufficient cover for all your sports items
you have specified all sports items with a sum insured greater than £500
all your high risk items with a sum insured greater than £1,500 have been specified
we regard all pairs, sets and collections as single items, all items have been specified if necessary.
