Government Legislation makes it compulsory to be able to identify the insurer of every vehicle from its registration mark. The Motor Insurers Information Centre (MIIC) has established a Motor Insurance Database (MID) to capture these details.
Ecclesiastical has to advise the MIIC of the relevant details of its policyholders. Therefore we need you, the broker (or alternatively, your customers), to advise us of any changes that take place e.g. removal or addition of vehicles, within ten days of the change taking place.
In order to help you communicate the requirements of the 4th EU Motor Insurance Directive and ensure that the correct details are advised, we’ve produced a downloadable spreadsheet that provides examples of the information required and a spreadsheet that you can complete and return to us. You will need to follow these instructions:
