How your donation could help
Kari Devi was heavily pregnant when her home was submerged after the River Kosi broke through its embankments in August 2008 - flooding many villages across Bihar, India. She gave birth several days after arriving in Sabila relief camp, but subsequently suffered psychological problems and physical difficulties. With help from the medical team provided by Christian Aid partner Emmanuel Hospital Association (AHA), Kari’s condition improved. Kari says, “After they (EHA) spoke to us, (the) pain in my heart was gone.”
