There are many grants available for a variety of purposes. For large fundraising projects a grant might be a good way of getting some extra money. It’s worth spending some time researching church grants using the internet and other resources. They can deliver substantial amounts of much needed funding to large projects.

A few points to remember...

  • You will normally be competing with other good causes for a donation so it’s worth spending as much time as possible putting your case together

  • Talk to colleagues and friends to see if they have had experience of getting church grants before, especially if they have been successful or have applied for the same grant as you

  • Don’t rely on a grant to meet all your needs, unfortunately there are many more causes than grants to go round, so even if your application is accepted, you might find that the amount you get is not as much as you need

  • There are many church grant giving organisations, download our funding resources document containing a small sample of grant giving bodies in th UK and their contact details.

The information provided on grants should be seen as a guide. It is an extensive subject and should be investigated further to ensure your individual requirements are considered.
