make a choice based on a recommendation – has anyone you know used the list? How good was the service for them? Is the site endorsed by any other companies or organisations?
shop around – don’t just choose the first list you come across, make sure you investigate several thoroughly before you make a decision
it doesn’t all have to be on-line – get in touch with the company by telephone to speak to someone direct or choose a wedding list provider that operates from a store so you can visit them
make sure you and your guests are protected – encourage guests to pay by credit card if possible and take out wedding insurance
