open ended investment company (OEIC)
Banks or building societies are fine if you want your money to be secure and accessible, but for potentially higher returns you might want to consider investing in the stockmarket. An Open Ended Investment Company (OEIC) allows you to do just that with the added advantage of leaving the investment decisions to an expert. But don’t forget, as with all investments, the value can fall as well as rise.
What’s an OEIC?
Introduced into the UK in 1997, an OEIC is a form of collective investment. This means that your money is pooled together with that of other investors who have similar investment objectives.
An experienced fund manager manages this money, making decisions on your behalf in a range that includes equities, government and corporate bonds. The fund manager’s job is to ensure that your OEIC investment is performing in line with the objectives of the individual fund.
Ecclesiastical Investment Funds OEIC is made up of six sub-funds, including our range of four socially responsible ethically screened Amity Funds. You can choose to invest in one of the six sub-funds or spread your investment to match your risk profile.
How much can I invest in an OEIC?
You can invest by monthly direct debit, from as little as £25 or you can invest a lump sum - from £200.
