Huw is a degree qualified and chartered health and safety practitioner having over thirty years’ experience advising organisations on the prevention of accidents and ill-health across a diverse range of sectors - both nationally and internationally. He has authored several books and many articles on the subject.
More recently, he has specialised in the development and delivery of liability support and risk management services to underwriters, brokers and customers in the global corporate and general insurance markets. He has also supported representative bodies such as the Association of British Insurers, for example helping them to develop their key principles document on health and safety for businesses and the voluntary sector.
With a proven technical capability, he has particular specialisations in relation to policy, procedural and systems development; risk assessment; specific hazard management; auditing; accident investigation; claims defensibility; and training (including training to accredited standards: NEBOSH, IOSH etc.).
