About the role

To support the delivery of a Business Continuity programme service to all areas of EIO Group complying with Industry Standards and to ensure ongoing compliance.

Key accountabilities

  • Define and implement policies in respect of Business Continuity, ensuring that these meet business needs and reflect prevailing/emerging regulation and industry best practice
  • Effectively participate in Business & IT Projects covering all aspects of Business Continuity and manage within project timescales and budgets
  • Produce written reports highlighting risks and recommending areas of improvement internally and externally on Business Continuity
  • Working with the Cyber Security Consultant, participate in due diligence exercises on external suppliers, providing appropriate feedback to the Business Owner and Supplier and produce risk recommendations that protect and enable the business
  • Manage internal exercises to verify our compliance with Business Continuity standards and report findings 
  • Manage Business Continuity incidents, including out of office hours, and take a leading role in any incidents which invoke the Crisis Management Plan
  • Designing and delivering an awareness and education programme in line with identified business needs
  • Provide consultancy Business Continuity to all areas of the Group 
  • Work with business to develop a Group Business Continuity Plan and obtain required Business, Executive and Board approvals
  • Ensure IT can put in place, test and execute business continuity arrangements in line with Group Business Continuity Plan 
  • Perform regular reviews to provide assurance that agreed policies and procedures are being upheld and report findings 
  • Work closely with the Cyber Security Consultant providing back up and coverage as and when required

Knowledge, skills and experience

  • Proven experience working in Business Continuity
  • Member of Business Continuity Institute 
  • Thorough understanding of Business Continuity practices
  • Experienced in working with and communicating with Staff at all levels including Senior Management
  • Experienced in Project Management
  • Experienced in Supplier Management 
  • Strong proven Analytical, Problem Solving, Decision Making and Judgement skills
  • Previous experience of working in the Financial Services Industry
