Marketing Analyst – EPSL (1927)

Key accountabilities

  • In agreement with the Marketing Manager, define, deliver and maintain data driven segmentations of UK funeral plan purchasing consumers and funeral directors
  • Develop and maintain a Distributor Value Management (DVM) model to evaluate the ongoing and potential future profitability of each funeral directing partner for EPSL
  • Support the EPSL Commercial and Distribution Teams to shape a funeral director acquisition, retention & growth strategy, based on current and future profitability assessment within the DVM model
  • Support the delivery of effective marketing campaigns by using data to plan, deliver and evaluate activities
  • Support the EPSL Commercial Team with the provision of powerful insights which enable optimal business decisions to be made
  • Operate in line with relevant control environment (especially in relation to data) and ensure the delivery of compliant, fit for purpose business practices

Key performance indicators

  • 360º feedback from internal and external stakeholders
  • Delivery of business unit:
  • - Segmentation models (consumers and funeral directors)
  • - Distributor profitability analysis (derived from the DVM model)
  • - New business plan (in collaboration with colleagues)
  • - Retention plan (in collaboration with colleagues)

Knowledge, skills and experience

  • Proven experience of using data analytics to build a range of commercial models, including segmentations
  • Deep knowledge of a range of analytical techniques and software tools
  • Experience in supporting commercial decision making
  • Likely to have a Maths/Statistics or similar qualification
