About the role

To develop, deliver and maintain EPSL’s products to ensure regulatory and compliance adherence

Key accountabilities

  • Support and monitor product related regulatory requirements, including customer journey and treating customers fairly
  • Maintain product terms and conditions to ensure they meet regulatory requirements and are consumer focused 
  • Review other customer communications including marketing activity, applications, post sale communications to ensure they are consumer focused, accurately describe the product, and meet product regulatory requirements
  • Review internal communications including training material to ensure they meet regulatory and accuracy requirements
  • Develop and maintain an annual product review process 
  • Develop a ‘fair value’ methodology and maintain the reporting
  • Develop at-need assessment process to ensure funeral plan commitments met
  • Develop and carry out customer understanding monitoring for new and existing consumers
  • Support requirements to hold customer representative data
  • Support development of EPSL response to FCA instalment requirements 
  • Develop and maintain competitor/external market monitoring and insight presenting recommendations to key stakeholders

  • 3600 feedback from internal and external stakeholders
  • Delivery of business unit:
  • Product focused regulatory requirements 
  • Enhanced proposition 
  • New business plan (in collaboration with colleagues)
  • Retention plan (in collaboration with colleagues)

Knowledge, skills and experience

  • FCA regulation expertise, particularly relevant experience of supporting development and maintenance of products in a regulated environment, working with provider and distributor regulation 
  • Proven experience of providing technical product support to product developments and changes 
  • Demonstrable sound knowledge of the funeral plan market 
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
