About the role

Ecclesiastical are currently undertaking a large transformational programme for the UK and Irish General Insurance part of the business.  The Horizon programme is looking to replace Ecclesiastical’s core General Insurance policy, claims, billing and workflow system and adapt the operating model to better align the business to the current and future needs of the customer. This position has developed in order to provide administrative support to assist the programme team.

Key accountabilities

  • Performs clerical duties, including, but not limited to, mailing and filing correspondence, placing orders, and answering calls
  • Interacts with clients, visitors, and vendors
  • Sorts and distributes incoming mail
  • Arranges meetings by reserving rooms
  • Photocopies, scans, and files appropriate documents
  • Edits documents for accuracy
  • Maintains accurate records and enters data
  • Assists with organising events when necessary
  • Ad hoc minute taking for meetings
  • Diary management, calendar booking via Outlook
  • Understand and operate within regulatory framework and identify and escalate any risks to the business in line with company policy
  • Perform other admin duties and provide project support as and when required

Knowledge, skills and experience

  • Confident user of Microsoft office including outlook 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent and proven system and administration skills with attention to detail and accuracy to ensure data integrity and compliance
  • Professional and personable, a credible representative for Ecclesiastical
  • Positive and pro-active with a can-do attitude
  • Flexible and adaptable happy to take on any tasks required
  • Able to work independently using Initiative
  • Minimum of 5 GCSE’s including Maths and English at grade C or above or equivalent
