Christmas may feel a little different this year, with your church not running as usual.

Invite people to donate to join an online meeting and make mince pies, Christmas cookies or other seasonal goodies! You could share the results in a newsletter or on your website. |
![]() | Online carol concert If appropriate you could stream a live concert of a small group of carol singers or string quartet. Invite your church and community to watch online, and encourage them to give when they watch, by providing information on how they can donate. |
![]() | Name a star You could give your community the opportunity to sponsor a star or another decoration you hang in your church. People can pay a donation and submit a name they would like written on the star. The churchwarden or vicar can hang the stars and share photos. |
![]() | Online raffle Host an online Christmas gift auction! Invite your community to buy some of their Christmas gifts at the raffle, with proceeds going to a good cause. Someone in your church could chair the online meeting, and people can pay online or via bank transfer for their bids. |
![]() | Donate last hour of pay You could ask those in your community who can, to donate their last hour of pay before Christmas to the church. |
![]() | Christmas tree competition You could invite your congregation and wider community to submit their entries for the best decorated Christmas tree. Suggest a donation amount for each entry and get your community to send in photos of their efforts. Remember you can share photos and promote your fundraising further via social media! Or you could print photos and hang them in an exhibition in your church |
