Valuables including Jewellery Insurance

Ecclesiastical Home Contents Insurance includes cover for valuables such as jewellery, gold or silver, clocks, watches, furs, works of art, stamps, coins or medal collections whilst in your home.

Although jewellery insurance is included in your policy as standard, you still need to think about what your valuables might be worth. Consider whether:

  • Your collection is worth more than you think

  • You might have recently inherited or been gifted some valuable items

  • Your jewellery is amongst your most vulnerable belongings

  • You like to wear your jewellery rather than hide it away in a safe.

Do I need extra insurance for jewellery or cover for other valuables?

The standard limit for any one item or collection is £3,500. The overall limit (unless you have selected your own contents sum insured) is:

  • for 1 or 2 bedroom properties £10,000

  • for 3 bedroom properties £15,000

  • for 4 or 5 bedroom properties £20,000

If you have chosen your own contents sum insured, the overall limit for valuables is 35% of the contents
sum insured. Higher valuable limits are available on request.

Remember, as with all household insurance policies, terms and conditions and minimum premiums apply. Please note we may not be able to quote in all circumstances.
