  • We are the leading insurer for the Anglican Church in all our territories, insuring more than 22,000 churches of all denominations including the Church of England, Church in Wales, Scottish Episcopal Church and United Reform Church. We are the leading multi-faith insurer of synagogues and mosques in all our territories.

  • We offer a range of ethically screened investment funds through our award-winning investment management business, EdenTree Investment Management, and have around £2.5bn of funds under management.

  • Our specialist brokers, SEIB and Lycetts, provide tailored insurance products for customers in the high net worth, farming and rural estates, equine, animal trades and specialist motor insurance sectors.

  • Our advisory businesses EFAS and Lycetts Financial Services offer financial advice to companies and individual customers.

  • In 2016, we achieved a pre-tax profit of £62.5m (2015: £53.6m) and an underwriting profit of £20.1m (2015: £13.5m). Our investment returns in 2016 were £54.4m (2015: £47.5m).

  • We granted £24.7m to charity in 2016 – £24m in grants to Allchurches Trust, with £0.7m given by Ecclesiastical to other charitable causes. In March 2016, we achieved our target of donating £50m to charity within three years.
