About the charity

The Playhouse Foundation provides specialist support to young children with autism in order to improve functional daily living, communication and interactive play skills. Through their intensive educational home programme, they provide support in the critical early years, supporting individual needs but without placing the entire financial burden on families.

Together we're helping

The £1000 donation from Ecclesiastical will be used towards the delivery of The Playhouse Foundation’s Effective Early Intervention Therapy programme. This is an intensive programme, which works with very young autistic children and their families to help them communicate, engage with and understand the world around them.

The funding will help support the sessional costs of the skilled facilitators employed to deliver the programme. The cost of working with such people is high as the individuals require a certain level of skill and experience to be able to engage with and interact to the levels needed to help the child, so

The Playhouse Foundation has to work tirelessly to sustain this. Caroline Thwaites, Fundraising Manager at The Playhouse Foundation said: ‘We were delighted to have been successful in the 12 Days of Christmas campaign.  It was a real boost to us and our supporters. When one of our supporters called to say that her nomination had been successful, we were all thrilled.’
