Angel Wishes is a charity based in Northern Ireland which supports children who are fighting cancer. Set up by Gaye Kerr, in memory of her twins Helen and Brian Kerr, who sadly lost their fight to cancer as children, it helps tackle the isolation many children and their families experience following diagnosis.
Angel Wishes provides families with tablet devices, so children can video call their family and friends from home, helping them to feel less isolated when they are undergoing treatment. It also arranges VIP cinema trips, hiring private suites, so children can attend shows away from the general public, keeping them safe and giving them a sense of normality.
In cases where children need to go abroad for treatment, Angel Wishes will pay for flights for siblings to visit their families.
Run purely by volunteers, 100% of Ecclesiastical’s £1000 donation will go towards supporting families and children suffering from cancer in Northern Ireland.
Gaye Kerr, mother of Helen and Brian, said: ‘Angel Wishes would like to thank you so much for your generosity and support this year. You can be assured it will be helping children throughout Northern Ireland smile.’
