About the charity

Through fun, friendship, challenge and adventure Girlguiding empowers girls to find their voice, inspiring them to discover the best in themselves and to make a positive difference in their communities.

Girlguiding gives girls space to discover their potential. They go to their first ever sleepover, canoe on rivers, learn about body confidence, and lead their own camp. Or sometimes they simply have fun and try new things with friends.

Girls take what they do in Guiding with them as they grow up. Everything from working in a team, to taking the lead and speaking out on issues they care about. It helps girls develop the skills and confidence to become the young women they want to be and to make a difference to the world around them.

Together we’re helping

Girlguiding Epsom Division currently offers nearly 600 Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers exciting opportunities including weekly unit meetings, outings, camps, pack holidays and international adventures.

Volunteers in Epsom Division are currently radically transforming the limited facilities at their campsite Little Acres, in Horton Country Park, a beautiful 400- acre nature reserve near Epsom. They are working hard to open Little Acres Lodge – an attractive, well equipped, modern building offering kitchen facilities, disabled access, accommodation, toilets and showers – so that many local groups and organisations have the opportunity to use the campsite and facilities and experience this really stunning, peaceful, outdoor environment.

Ecclesiastical’s £1,000 donation will specifically help to fund the completion of internal work on the newly constructed Lodge and open it for use by Guiding and Scouting groups and the wider community.
