Rescue Me Animal Sanctuary is a foster-home-based animal sanctuary in the Merseyside area. Their primary focus is to rescue abandoned, stray and unwanted small animals, bringing them back to health both mentally and physically before finding them new and loving homes. By looking after rescue pets in a home environment, Rescue Me believe they can fully assess animals, understand their needs and ultimately match them to the most suitable home.
In March 2018, the charity purchased new premises in order to expand admissions to their sanctuary, and the £1,000 donation from Ecclesiastical will go towards vital renovation work. The new premises will not only enable them to rescue more animals in need but to cater for different types of animal.
Steph Taylor, Founder of Rescue Me Animal Sanctuary, said: ‘We now have a huge task of making the new premises fit for purpose and Ecclesiastical’s donation will be a massive help towards this. We have three outbuildings that we want to transform into a dog unit, cat unit and small furry unit; aviaries to erect along with an isolation unit, a wildlife unit, a reception, office and foster rooms.’
