This competition has now closed.

What a year this has been for The Oldie British Artists Award. We have been delighted by the level of interest from the public as well as the high standard of work.  The judging panel would like to thank everyone who has entered and given up their time to submit a piece.

About The Oldie British Artists Award

Ecclesiastical Insurance and The Oldie magazine joined forces again  this year for the third annual Oldie British Artists Award (OBA). Launched in 2012, the OBA Award recognises the achievements of older British artists and celebrates figurative art.

The Winner and Shortlist

The winner received a cash prize of £5,000 and the closing date for entries was 10th July 2014. The shortlisted artists were asked to provide a portfolio of their work (which formed part of the final judging process) on 8th August.
