Charity risk barometer
Our Charity Risk Barometer 2019 uncovers key challenges facing charities, helps you capitalise on opportunities and reap major rewards.
We were overwhelmed by the response from charities and received almost 800 project submissions for our £50,000 grants. Following a review of all the applications, we shortlisted 15 charities and over 20,000 of you showed your support for your favourite charity project! Our judges then had the challenging task of reviewing the 15 shortlisted applications against set criteria, in order to achieve a final list of the ten winning charities who would each receive a £50,000 grant.
Thank you to everyone who has taken part in our Movement for Good awards - together we are building a movement for good.
We were amazed by the response from charities and their supporters. And we know what an enormous difference £1,000 will make, and has already made, to a huge number of charities.
Charitable giving is at the heart of what we do – and has been for over 130 years. Today, we’re the only financial services group that exists to give its profits to charity. We’re proud to be doing things differently. To be giving back to the communities we serve and championing the issues that really matter to them – working together to build a movement for good.
Through our Movement for Good awards, we’re giving £1m to charities. We want to put our giving directly into the hands of remarkable organisations (like yours perhaps) that are changing people’s lives for the better.
Our £1m giving programme has two funding categories - £1,000 donations to 500 charities and £50,000 grants to 10 charities. By splitting the awards into two categories, we are allocating the funds in a way that charities tell us will have the greatest impact.
