Key trends shaping the art market
The Art Market Review provides an expert-led overview of the global art market, bringing together key trends, performance insights, and standout sales from around the world.
Drawing on the latest market data and analysis, it's designed to help readers understand how the market is evolving and what these changes mean for the value of art and collections.
Each edition is informed by the findings of the Art Basel & UBS Global Art Market Report, as the most comprehensive, data-driven analysis of the international art economy. It combines dealer data, auction results, art‑fair performance, and collector behaviour, and is a benchmark for understanding shifts in the market’s size, structure, trends and market confidence. These insights form the foundation of The Art Market Review, ensuring a consistent, credible view of market performance over time.
The series is presented by Dr James Lindow, who brings a distinctive perspective shaped by his expertise in both art history and high-net-worth underwriting. His ability to connect market data with real-world considerations provides valuable context for understanding not just how the market is performing, but what is driving change within it.
