Our clocks glossary below is filled with handy definitions of key terms you might come across in a valuation report.

The protective housing for the movement and dial.

The glass that covers and protects the dial and hands.

Where the time is displayed. Roman or Arabic numerals, simple dots, or dashes can also be referred to as the ‘face’.

The mechanism that powers the clock and ‘moves’ the hands around the dial.
