Anna Stratton appointed UKGI Finance Director

Ecclesiastical Insurance has appointed Anna Stratton as its new UKGI Finance Director, joining in July 2025.

Anna brings extensive experience in financial leadership, joining from Allianz Partners, where she worked as Finance Director for the UK & Ireland, most recently as the Global Head of Accounting and Reporting. Having originally trained with PwC, she has developed a strong track record in financial strategy and governance throughout her career.

Her appointment comes at a pivotal time for Ecclesiastical, enhancing its financial capabilities to sustain its strong growth trajectory. As part of the Benefact Group, the specialist insurer aims to double its business to increase its charitable giving.

Reporting to Mark Bennett, Chief Financial Officer, Anna will focus on UKGI and will join Richard Coleman’s UK leadership team.

“We’re delighted to welcome Anna to Ecclesiastical at such a pivotal moment. Her appointment is part of a series of high-profile hires, reinforcing our commitment to bringing in leading talent from across the industry. She shares our values and vision, and I have no doubt she will play a key role in driving our growth ambitions.”

Richard Coleman, Ecclesiastical UK Managing Director

“I’m thrilled to be joining Ecclesiastical at such an exciting time in its growth journey. The organisation's charitable purpose resonates deeply with me, and I look forward to working alongside the team to help with the next phase of growth.”

Anna’s appointment reflects Ecclesiastical’s commitment to building a world-class team, as demonstrated by its market-leading employee engagement scores in the independently run B-Heard surveys. The company recently achieved a three-star ‘world-class’ engagement rating, with Benefact Group ranking among the Top 50 large companies to work for in the UK, moving from 47th to 41st place.

As a charity-owned business with a unique purpose to contribute to the greater good, Ecclesiastical continues to attract top talent seeking both a rewarding career and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Recent high-profile hires, including Marc Lewis and Adam Wright from Aviva, Dave Carey from Allianz, Lara Bealing from Canada Life, and James Medlicott from HDI Global, reflect this appeal. The organisation’s commitment to fostering an inclusive, collaborative environment ensures colleagues feel valued and respected, contributing to its strong Net Promoter Scores (NPS) and reputation for excellent service.

Ecclesiastical’s mission is to grow its business to give more to good causes. By providing life-changing careers that change lives, the company reinforces its status as a destination employer where talented professionals come together to make a difference.
