Ecclesiastical announces new partnership with Towergate

As part of Ecclesiastical Insurance’s schemes expansion, the specialist insurer has partnered with Towergate Care to offer property capacity for larger care home providers.

With over 25 years’ experience in the care sector, Towergate is a leading community broker offering bespoke insurance cover to care homes across the UK.

As the preferred insurance provider to Care England and National Care Forum, Towergate’s specialist, local teams have the knowledge and expertise to provide a high-quality service to its customers.

This latest partnership with Towergate is further evidence of Ecclesiastical’s underwriting capability, property capacity, and flexibility when working with specialist brokers who manage schemes.

The specialist insurer has set an ambitious target to double the size of the business by 2026 and has identified the schemes space as an area for growth.

Already this year, Ecclesiastical has announced new schemes with Brokerbility on its Bricks and Mortar scheme and MGA iprism on a new community proposition.

“I’m delighted to be able to announce this new partnership with Towergate. They have in-depth knowledge of the care sector and have proven their expertise as a specialist broker within the space.

“We want to build on our schemes proposition, and this is another example of how broad our appetite is within the schemes space. The message is that we can provide solutions for brokers searching for a reliable insurer partner to help grow their schemes, and are adaptable in the amount of delegated authority provided on a scheme-by-scheme basis.

Chris Withers, Ecclesiastical Insurance Schemes and Partnerships Director

Towergate was formed in 1997 and is part of the Ardonagh Group, one of the world’s leading independent brokers and an existing partner of Ecclesiastical. The broker has offices throughout the UK, employing over 2,000 people.

“This new partnership in care expands upon the strong relationship Towergate already has with Ecclesiastical. I am pleased that we are now able to offer our clients yet another alternative insurance solution in a sector that can be challenging to give that choice to.

“As a specialist broker, we work with insurers who share the same passion and understanding of the sectors we work in, and Ecclesiastical demonstrates all of those values, which make them an ideal insurer partnership for us and our clients. I am excited to see how we can work together to support the Care sector.”

Carolyn Baker-Mellor, Towergate Trading Director
