Emergency information

Criminal damage & theft
  • If your claim has involved theft or malicious damage, please take note of the crime reference number and details of when you notified the police.
  • For lost or stolen items, please provide proof of purchase and estimates on a like-for-like basis.
Broken glass
  • For broken glass claims, please call 0345 600 0148. You just pay your excess, and we'll pay for the rest.
Home emergencies
Flood
  • Safety is paramount during a flood. Before you do anything else, please turn off your gas, electricity, and water if possible. Do not turn it back on until you have been assured by a registered professional that it is safe to do so.
  • Consider moving important items to a safer place if it is safe to do so.
Legal advice
  • If you have a legal query, you can call ARAG on 0345 268 9124 (UK) +44 (0)1452 875925 (abroad) with your policy reference number. They will be able to advise you on your policy cover and how to pursue your claim.

Renewals and auto-renewal

We will send you a renewal pack within 21 days of your renewal date. It will include details of your renewal premium, any changes to the policy wording and cover, and a reminder of what you have previously informed us, allowing you to update us if anything has changed.

  • If you pay by Direct Debit, your policy will automatically renew at the end of the policy term, giving you the peace of mind of continued cover. When this happens, your monthly payments will continue according to a revised payment schedule reflecting your renewal premium. You can opt out of auto-renewal at any time by contacting us on 0345 777 3322, emailing household@ecclesiastical.com, or by completing the website form. If you opt out, you will need to contact us before your renewal date if you wish to renew your policy; otherwise, your cover will cease when your existing policy expires, leaving you with no insurance.
  • If you pay by any other means, please note that the policy will not automatically renew. You will need to contact us if you wish to renew your cover.

Please note that in rare instances, due to a change in risk or circumstances, we may be unable to offer renewal, in which case we will notify you.

Please note - calls to 03 numbers are typically charged at no more than the local rate.
