How are you really?
Expert-led mental wellbeing resources, guidance, and insights to support brokers and their teams.
Supporting broker wellbeing across the insurance industry
The insurance industry is built on trust, resilience and expertise. Yet within every successful broker is a person balancing client expectations, commercial pressures and demanding workloads.
At Ecclesiastical, we believe that supporting broker wellbeing is essential, not only for individual health and resilience, but for the long-term success of businesses and the wider industry.
That's why we've invested in long-term research and developed practical guidance, tools and resources to help brokers and brokerages build healthier, more resilient workplaces.
For more than seven years, Ecclesiastical has been tracking the wellbeing of insurance brokers, building one of the industry's longest-running views of how stress, pressure and wellbeing are shaping the profession.
Our latest research reveals a profession that is resilient, but under pressure:
- 67% of brokers have experienced work-related stress in the last 12 months
- 44% have experienced anxiety
- Workload remains the number one cause of workplace stress
- Younger and mid-career brokers face the greatest pressures
- Support is improving within brokerages, but attitudes across the wider industry continue to lag behind.
These findings highlight both the challenges facing today's brokers and the opportunities for businesses to better support their people.
